Chicago's after school pods encourage students to be critical creators. Students learn to express themselves using new media. Their schools require and make art classes mandatory. Here they are taught the digital tools such as video production, robotics and game design. There is also a program exclusively for girls. Here young girls are shown positive images in the media. Internships are available for those students who excel. Chicago's Digital Youth Network is helping students connect and prepare them for 2020.
